So it’s pretty clear that Substack is a bad company that makes bad decisions. I don’t agree with those decisions, and the original purpose of this newsletter has been fulfilled by this point anyway.
So, bye! The archive of this project will stay open, but I’m moving on. No new newsletter somewhere else right now (maybe later, we’ll see), but follow me on Twitter, peep my website, and stay tuned for more episodes of Sound Expertise (we just dropped a new one, on teaching music history).
I’m grateful to all of you for reading this, writing to me about it, and caring about my book. It was fun! It’s always good to end things when they need to end.
