Two years since my last post and I'm glad to report that in the first year of my substack, I was able to profile each individual day of each individual New Music America festival, and due to its historic importance and at the age of 66 I am no closer to a book deal than when I started (but with much greater potential after 70,000 views by year 2.5), ALL of my substacks pertinent to New Music America are to remain free; some addendums from year two need to be transferred though.
So one easy stop: this is the substack in which I was able to create an Index of Indexes, for easy bookmarking and returning to. Each of the links on this page lead you to the folder of the festivals from 1979 to 1990 Each folder has at least one individual substack entry for each day though many days have several given there were many things that would occur on a single day, and quite often.

Oh yeah, the word is substack! Here is the post of day one of festival one, and each festival day will get its own substack with works that have enough overflow getting their own pages as well. Update July 13; I've now posted individual substacks dedicated to each of the days of New Music New York 1979, New Music America Minneapolis 1980, New Music America San Francisco 1981, New Music America Chicago 1982 and New Music America Hartford 1984.
